All kids can be creative. The Art program enriches student’s lives and allows for discovery and creative problem solving.
It provides students with a broader perception of their environment and a greater understanding of historical and cultural perspectives. That helps the students getting a larger view of our globalized, multicultural world.
The Art program is based on Artistic Perception, Creative Expression, Historical and Cultural Context and Aesthetic Valuing. Each student will build a portfolio of sketches during the course.
In addition students will produce two or three works of art each quarter, participating the exibitions planned during the school year. Through class discussion, questions and answers, students are helped to comprehend art concepts, areas of aesthetics, art criticism, art history, and studio production. The Art History course encourages the understanding of art as a visual language.
It aims also to develop skills in perception, comprehension, and appreciation when dealing with a variety of visual art forms.
