The Art program enriches students’ lives and allows for discovery and creative problem solving. It provides students with a broader perception of their environment and a greater understanding of historical and cultural perspectives.
The Art curriculum is integrated by several activities, aimed to explore, theorize, and apply the principles of aesthetics and art criticism, that also develop the communication skills along with the concept of reinforcement and the development of critical thinking skills.
All students participate actively in class, learning to work in couple, groups or teams respecting rules and solving problems that arise.
In particular, the Grade 10 students will be introduced to the art element of texture, the properties of variety and emphasis in art, to the art traditions of the Americas (Olmec, Aztec and Inca cultures) and possible careers in art.
