The Art program enriches students’ lives and allows for discovery and creative problem solving. It provides students with a broader perception of their environment and a greater understanding of historical and cultural perspectives.
The Art curriculum is integrated by several activities, aimed to explore, theorize, and apply the principles of aesthetics and art criticism, that also develop the communication skills along with the concept of reinforcement and the development of critical thinking skills.
All students participate actively in class, learning to work in couple, groups or teams respecting rules and solving problems that arise.
In particular, the Grade 8 students will be introduced to the art elements of shape and form, to the property of balance in art, to the art traditions of Asia (Middle East) and possible careers in art.
