Ancient History

The course is a study from the earliest civilizations, to new directions in government and society down through to the age of exchange and encounter.  The course includes the historical development of people, places and environments and students explore the chronological events, geographic influences on history and interpret patterns of behavior that contribute to their cultural understanding. Students study of human origins, traditions, customs, and beliefs which are essential to the standards of Ancient History curriculum. Students compare civilizations and evaluate their contributions to societies and their impact on on Eastern and Western civilizations.
