FIELD TRIPS

Extending the curriculum beyond classroom walls.

The Field Trip program at ISN is a unique feature of the curriculum that takes advantage of the rich cultural patrimony we have in Italy and across Europe.  Field trips within Italian borders focus on Italian heritage, regional characteristics and cultural diversity, while International trips focus on cross-cultural understanding and immersion of the English language.

 

Trips range from local excursions to geographical and cultural locations in the Campania Region, to museums, theaters and workshops, to trips within the Italian borders to neighboring regions. Grades 5 and 6 travel to divers locations in Italy for a 2/3 day residential experience while upper grades travel to International destinations for a 4/5 day residential experience.

Field trips are recognized as important moments in learning; a shared social experience that provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novelty in authentic settings.
